As the year draws to a close, it means several things: it's getting dark, it's getting cold, it's getting Christmassy. These characteristics also shaped our Christmas event on Friday, December 2, which brought together the entire TogetherSecure team in Wels.
Similar to the summer event in August, this time we also went to Wels, but to the old town for a journey into the past. Together with a medieval night watchman, we immersed ourselves in the long history of Wels and got to know historical figures and their adventures. From the Lederer Tower, we walked along the town wall, then across the town square and past the Mühlbach stream to the imperial castle and its not-quite-golden roof. The tour was filled with historical facts and interesting as well as spooky myths, legends and tales. As a highlight - and to warm us up - a Gstanzl was performed and danced with us at the end!
After the snowfall in the afternoon, however, the singing and dancing were not enough to drive the cold out of our bones. So after the tour, we explored the Wels Christmas market and sampled some good punch. Then we went to the Naschmarkt restaurant for a meal together.
